About Casey Hearing

We help people with hearing concerns fully participate in life through the gift of improved hearing.

Who We Are

Casey Hearing is owned and operated by Khatija Halabi. She has 20 years experience as an audiologist working both overseas and in Australia. Having worked in schools, with families and as part of multidisciplinary teams, she has an understanding of patients outside the clinic walls. Her involvement with various community-based projects helps her provide a holistic approach to her work, recognising her patients as individuals living in unique environments.

Khatija consults on the same day as an Ear Nose and Throat specialist who visits Lakeside Precinct Specialist Suites monthly. This collaboration ensures a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, when specialist opinion is required.

Who We Are

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people with hearing concerns fully participate in life through the gift of improved hearing. Empowering our patients to identify their listening and communication goals and working out customised solutions to achieve those goals is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Mission

Ethics

The philosophy at Casey Hearing is to provide audiological services in a private setting with strict considerations of the ethics involved. The audiologist complies with the code of ethics set by the professional association, Audiology Australia.

At Casey Hearing, we will not recommend any audiological services, including hearing aid fitting, unless it is clearly indicated.

We do not accept any incentives, such as gifts or travel, from any hearing aid manufacturer. We are not allied with any manufacturer and are not under any obligation to fit a particular brand of hearing aid.

Our clinician does not receive commission or bonuses for hearing aids sold or fitted. When we recommend a certain brand, you can be assured that this is because we have researched the benefits, not because of any obligation or discount.

Jemma is our patients’ first point of call. She sees them before and after their appointments and also calls our hearing aid patients during appointments to ensure they can hear well over the telephone. She loves seeing patients’ reactions after they have had wax removal or hearing aids fitted. They talk to her about how they can hear again or question the music playing in the waiting area that they hadn’t heard before.
