Hearing Solutions

We are an independent audiology practice, which means we have the freedom of choice to stock and sell hearing related products that we consider offer the best ethical solutions for patients with hearing ailments.

What is hearing loss?

Hearing loss makes it difficult to hear sounds and speech.  Any problem within the hearing pathway, whether in the outer, middle or inner ear is considered a hearing loss. Permanent hearing loss is often the result of inner ear or nerve damage.

Also known as impaired hearing, it may be caused by a congenital defect, injury, disease, certain medication, exposure to loud noise or age-related wear and tear.

For some, hearing is made possible with a hearing device such as a hearing aid or an assistive listening device

What are the solutions for hearing loss?

Living with hearing loss today is nothing like it used to be. There are different types of hearing devices, commonly referred to as hearing aids used to manage the condition. Modern hearing devices come in a variety of shapes and sizes designed to suit your lifestyle and budget.

Your choice of hearing device will depend on a range of factors including:

  1. The degree of your hearing loss and your lifestyle.
  2. Your goals and expectations.
  3. Any other health issues or concerns that may impact the use of a hearing device.
  4. Style, budget, brand, aesthetics.

The Journey

Every hearing-impaired patient has a journey. At Casey Hearing, we believe in listening to your story so that we can fully understand your world. We are interested in the activities that you are involved with and how your hearing and communication are affected during those activities. We also want to hear about activities that you would like to be involved with but feel you cannot as a result of your hearing. Listening to your story helps us tailor make a hearing solution package to suit you. In this way, you will be able to engage in activities at a level that you are comfortable with, without the risk of social isolation as a result of not hearing. By seeing the same audiologist for testing and the rehabilitation process ensures that she will get to know you really well and you can build a trusting relationship with your audiologist.
